APES Around the World
APES Around the World

In this course-long project your APES class will explore and investigate the interrelationships of the natural world, identify and analyze environmental problems, both natural and human-made, evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and examine alternative solutions for resolving and/or preventing them for the following geographic regions of the world.

  • North America
  • South America
  • Europe
  • Africa
  • Middle East
  • Asia

As we move through the AP course content the groups will be given investigation prompts that parallel the content that we are covering. The general categories of the prompts are as follows:

  • Tragedy of the Commons (Lack of Sustainability)
  • Biodiversity
  • Natural Capital
  • Population
  • Agriculture and Food
  • Natural Resources
  • Alternative Energy
  • Human Health
  • Water Resources
  • Building Sustainability

To work on your project find your assigned region of the world in the Region tab above and begin building content for the assignment.

Remember that you are responsible for not only providing quality peer-reviewed content for your region, but also responsible for learning the information for the other regions.
